Online Benefit Information Training

May 8, 2008

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan recently introduced Online Benefit Information that allows agents and customers to access, download and print benefit guides and benefit charts that were previously available only by requesting a Your Benefit Guide from BCBSM.

In an effort to assist you with this new process of obtaining Your Benefit Guides, BCBSM has scheduled several webcast training sessions to show you what OBI can do and how you can use this feature to benefit your business and your customers. These training sessions will provide:

  • An overview of the Online Benefit Information system and why BCBSM is moving Your Benefit Guide to the Web
  • How the OBI process works and a demonstration of how to access and use OBI
  • What’s in store for the future – enhancements that will maximize your use of OBI

BCBSM has scheduled webcasts May 13 and 14 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The webcasts will run approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

How does BCBSM’s webcast training work?
Using AT&T, BCBSM broadcasts our presentation over the Internet as a webcast, or Web conference. You can watch and listen to the webcast from any location with a computer, Internet access and a telephone line separate from your Internet access line for the audio portion of the webcast. Each webcast can accommodate up to 125 participants. (Once the maximum is reached, no additional participants will be allowed access the session.) To participate, please follow the access instructions below.

If you experience problems opening PDF files, try saving the file first before opening (right-click over the link and select "Save Target As"). Another option involves changing the Adobe Reader option so files open with Reader rather than in your browser. A third option involves deleting all temporary Internet files through your browser's Internet Options menu. Click here for detailed instructions. These solutions often resolve Adobe Acrobat issues.
