Individual Enrollment's Missing Agent Identification Numbers

March 28, 2008

It has been discovered that when an agent or consumer submits an application through the individual business e-quoting and enrollment tool using the consumer role, the agent identification number is not passing to the Blues membership system causing the contract to not show on your Agent Book of Business.

This issue pertains to applications submitted from March 13 through today.

The Blues technical team has identified the problem and we believe a fix will occur by the end of this week.

BCBSM has identified all contracts impacted and they will be updating the membership system in the next few days as well. This will not cause any delay in the payment of your commission on these new enrollments.

We will keep you posted as to when the fix is complete and when you will see the enrollments in your Agent Book of Business.

REMINDER: Set up your access to the enhanced e-quoting and enrollment application through the Agent Portal.  This ensures your agent identification number is pre-populated on all applications submitted. Click here for instructions on how to register.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact an HCA Agent Consultant at (800) 828-1HCA (1422).

Another option involves changing the Adobe Reader option so files open with Reader rather than in your browser. A third option involves deleting all temporary Internet files through your browser's Internet Options menu. Click here for detailed instructions. These solutions often resolve Adobe Acrobat issues.
