e-Quoting and Enrollment for Individual Coverage

Effective March 20, 2008, you can utilize the new e-Quoting and Enrollment Application.

Some of the new functions include:

  • Agents access to the enrollment and quoting features through the Agent Portal
  • Agents may now assist application completion or email the application to clients for completion, embedding their agent ID
  • Agent Application Work Queue where an agent will be able to see the progress of the application through the Underwriting review process
  • Messaging Center for real-time statuses on submitted applications
  • Agent Connect Feature allowing links from agent sites into the BCBSM e-Quoting and Enrollment application workflow to leverage BCBSM current rates and eligibility, embedding your agent id in the link.

Two links on HCA’s homepage for Online Enrollment:

HCA has a link at the top of our homepage (www.hcaweb.net) for enrolling subscribers on-line. From that link you can choose if you would like to enroll a subscriber through:

  • Detroit Regional Chamber. Click here to view the advantages of the Detroit Regional Chamber Individual Enrollment.
  • The new BCBSM eQuoting and Enrollment for Individuals.  This link will take you to the BCBSM Agent Portal. Please follow the instructions below to access the new tool.

Requesting Services – FOR AGENTS ALREADY REGISTERED
If you are an agent that is already registered on the Agent Portal there are just a few quick steps to obtain this new feature.

Step 1. From the Agent Secured Services home page click on My Account.
Step 2. Click on My Company.
Step 3. Click on Request Services.
Step 4. Check box in front of eQuoting for Individuals and click submit (user may have to log out and log back in before they can add service)
Step 5. Click on My Services
Step 6. Click on Add services

  • If you see eQuoting for Individuals  check the box and click Add Selected
  • If you do not see eQuoting for Individuals you will need to click on Request Services and check the box and click request services. Once you have done this you can then click on Add Services again and eQuoting for Individuals will appear as an option.

Please note: It may take up to 24 hours to reflect the new services. 

New Registration  - FOR AGENTS WHO NEED TO REGISTER
If you have not registered with the BCBSM Agent Portal you will need to so in order to utilize this new tool. For your convenience we have included the Quick Reference Guide for Agent Registration.
